Why this is significant for Lamar Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian is because Dallas fans list them among the top reasons why the Mavericks have sunk to barely good enough for a playoff spot. Odom has not played up to his billing as the reigning Sixth Man of the Year and without it fans aren’t willing to deal with the Kardashian drama that follows his wife everywhere. This has possibly led to tension between the couple what with the recent deaths to deal with as well as an apparent strip club visit by Lamar with Mavericks teammates. Some say he did it more for bonding than the thrills but such behavior was a big reason Khloe’s sister Kim divorced Kris Humphries. That and work troubles. A trade for Dwight Howard to pair with future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki could revitalize the season and perhaps take the pressure off Odom.
