A woman who helped manage a brothel in Hurst was ordered by a court to pay back almost £85,000 from the profits of her crime.
Barbara Harvey, 61, was arrested on January 8, 2008, at a house in Davis Way, for being concerned in the control of prostitution.

Thames Valley Police’s asset recovery team carried out a financial investigation to find out how much profit she had made from managing the brothel.

She was charged with keeping a brothel for prostitution on March 4, last year, and she admitted the offence on May 2, 2008, at Reading Crown Court.

Co-defendant brothel madam Kimberley Davis, of David Way, Hurst, recently released from prison, also appeared at the confiscation hearing but the case was adjourned until Friday, November 27.
