Dallas Adult Entertainment: Godspell Continues at CAST
The writers of Godspell have left the setting for the musical up to the director of each production and Director Susan Loffredi has set the production in a New York City Park with the background of Ground Zero complete with an eight-foot high by 20-foot long chain link fence in front of which a group of talented young adults will take the audience on a journey that will be long remembered.
“The music in this show is wonderful,” said Loffredi. “There’s a great mix of ballads and rock and every song is so well done. This is a cast of wonderful voices and the pit is excellent. The musical includes great songs such as “Day By Day,” “Light Of The World,” “Turn Back Oh Man,” and the lively number, “All For The Best,” done by Jesus and Judas.
As the parables are told, these talented young adults portray a variety of characters including the jealous son whose brother receives his father’s blessing and gifts, a group of sheep and goats, the man badly beaten and ignored by the rich man, the prostitute who was to be stoned and the animals loading onto Noah’s ark among others.
