Dallas Strip Clubs: Christina Aguilera Tempts Fate in Burlesque Trailer (watch)

Pop star Christina Aguilera has entered the Death Valley of film careers for young starlets, would be starlets, and in some cases, veteran actresses. The official trailer for her movie “Burlesque” was released today (Aug. 5) and features her doing what she does best — singing.
Sony Pictures released the trailer for the Steven Antin’s “Burlesque,” starring Aguilera, Cher, Eric Dane, Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough, Peter Gallagher, Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell and Stanley Tucci.
Unfortunately, movies about strippers and burlesque queens have been career-killers.
Mostly notably, Demi Moore all but ruined her career by starring in the 1996 sex comedy “Striptease” with over-the-hill (even then) Burt Reynolds and Ving Rhames.
The 1995 film “Show Girls,” about Vegas strippers, nearly ruined Gina Gershorn and thoroughly trashed Elizabeth Berkley’s career.
More recently Britney Spears flopped as a stripper in 2002′s “Crossroads” and Mariah Carey bombed in 2001′s “Glitter.”

Dallas Strip Clubs: NFL Odds: Vince Young Won’t Face a Suspension

NFL Odds: Vince Young Won’t Face a Suspension
by Allen James  |  July 29th, 2010
Very good news for the Tennessee Titans as they will not lose starting quarterback Vince Young to a suspension for a fight at a Dallas-area strip club back in June.
Nothing is official yet from the league office (although it should be later Thursday), but the Tennessean newspaper is reporting Young will avoid any punishment. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had said in late June that Young, a first-time legal offender who received a misdemeanor citation for assault, was unlikely to be suspended.
Surveillance video footage released by police showed Young charging and attacking someone in a small room in Club Onyx. Reportedly Young was upset because a club employee disrespected the University of Texas, his alma mater. Young later apologized to the Titans, his teammates, his family and fans and pleaded for leniency from Goodell.

Attorney certain Carlita, Bernard Kilpatrick will be deposed in stripper suit: ‘Let them plead the Fifth’

Attorney Norman Yatooma says there is “no way” a federal judge will squash depositions scheduled for the wife and father of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in an ongoing civil suit filed by the family of slain stripper Tamara “Strawberry” Greene.
Yatooma is representing Greene’s family, which claims Kilpatrick and other city leaders conspired to stifle a probe into the dancer’s 2003 murder, which occurred months after she allegedly performed at a long-rumored party at the Manoogian Mansion.
Carlita and Bernard Kilpatrick, who now live in Texas, on Sunday filed motions asking Chief U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen to set aside orders they give depositions to Yatooma, who believes Rosen will not grant the request.
