Dallas Massage Parlors: Crime Report: 10000 prostitutes will work Dallas during Super Bowl

During Super Bowl weekends, officials have investigated dozens of reports of young prostitutes working areas around the stadium, hotels, night clubs and restaurants. It is also not uncommon for otherwise legitimate business people to participate in prostitution rings during the big game.
“At previous Super Bowls, pimps hired cab drivers to turn their vehicles into mobile brothels,” Traffick911 Executive Director Deena Graves said.
Most of the girls involved are runaways who are willing to take refuge with almost anyone.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, about 300,000 girls, between the ages of 11 and 17, become prostituteis every year.
When large sporting events aren’t on the calendar, pimps force girls to work shopping malls and other crowded areas. Some girls are forced to work in massage parlors and often sent to hotels through highly organized escort services.

Dallas Massage Parlors: Point Person: Our Q&A with Bill Bernstein on the human trafficking problem in …

Texas has certainly seen a disproportionate number of human trafficking cases. First, let’s use a more accurate word: What we are really talking about is slavery. We’re not talking about movement or travel; we’re talking about control.
As we know, the economy is better in the D-FW area than in much of the country, and the metroplex is at a north-south, east-west crossroads. The driving force behind trafficking is economics — money. So it makes sense that it’s an issue here. We know it’s happening here, and we assume there are many, many more victims whose suffering has not been uncovered.
Who is being trafficked through North Texas?
We’ve seen a lot of different kinds of cases. We’ve seen women working in nightclubs. In massage parlors. Men and women in domestic servitude, in agricultural work, in factory work, in nursing homes, in hotels and motels, and in many other types of labor. But there is no typical human trafficking case.

Dallas Massage Parlors: Masseur sentenced to prison

Frisco, who sometimes stripped naked while massaging clients at his home office, secretly videotaped people as they got undressed before appointments and indecently assaulted one woman while she was on the massage table, according to the criminal complaint.
During the sentencing hearing, which began Tuesday and was continued Friday, two of the masseur’s victims told the court they felt “betrayed, violated and humiliated” by the defendant.
Assistant District Attorney Kate McGill, who prosecuted the case, called his actions “completely disgusting.”
“This was really disturbing conduct,” she said. “He took advantage of people in a very vulnerable position.”
Authorities said at the unlicensed massage parlor the defendant operated from in his home, Frisco videotaped 16 different male and female clients on 35 separate occasions. A few women came to the hearing; others submitted victim impact statements.

Dallas Massage Parlors: City Responds to "Relaxation Studios" Lawsuit; Judge Denies "Spas" Their …

On Monday, Tim Rogers posted a lawsuit that several, um, massage parlors — among them, The Passion, Cleopatra Day Spa and 333 Body Works — brought against the city of Dallas in which they claim they had their certificates of occupancy yanked without due process. Tim also posted a piece from the January D in which former Observer-er Tom Korosec detailing just how the city’s been shutting down these brothels … pardon, massage parlors.
As it turns out, the city didn’t take long to respond to the complaint, in which the “relaxation studios” and “spas” requested a temporary restraining order that would allow them to keep their doors open. You’ll find that response after the jump, but, first, an excerpt from Dallas Caty Attorney Tom Perkins’s follow-up: “The evidence will show that the certificates of occupancy were revoked because each application for a certificate of occupancy did not state that the use would be operated as a massage establishment, nor did the applicant supply a copy of a massage establishment license.” Can’t imagine why.

Montgomery County police arrested a man they said operated an illegal massage parlor out of his home and fondled his clients while secretly filming them tape.
Rich Frisco, of Lower Providence Township, was arrested Friday and faced several charges including indecent exposure and invasion of privacy.
One of his clients went to police after Frisco allegedly took off his clothes during a session.
Investigators went to Frisco’s home on Monitor Drive in Lower Providence Township and found a hidden camera in a massage room and several tapes. One of the tapes recovered by police apparently showed Frisco naked and fondling one of his victims while she slept.
“We have at least 35 incidents where this occurred,” said Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele.

Dallas Massage Parlors: Man charged for secret massage parlor videos

LOWER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. – August 14, 2009 (WPVI) — Police arrest a man for secretly videotaping massage room clients.
The Lower Providence Township Police Department has charged Richard Frisco with aggravated indecent assault, invasion of privacy, indecent exposure, possession of child pornography, and related offices.
In February 2009, the Lower Providence Township Police Department began an investigation into the activities of Richard Frisco, who was operating an unlicensed massage parlor from his residence in the 3800 block of Monitor Drive, in the Collegeville section of Lower Providence Township.
During a search warrant, detectives found a hidden camera in Frisco’s massage room. The camera was connected to a television in Frisco’s room. THey also recovered numerous VHS tapes and pornographic material.
Lower Providence Township Police Department detectives subsequently reviewed the VHS tapes and learned that Frisco’s clients were being secretly video recorded while undressing in the massage room. In addition, some of the clients were indecently assaulted and/or secretly photographed while receiving massages from Frisco. In the course of the investigation, the clients were identified and interviewed and each indicated they were not aware they were being video recorded nor had they given permission for Frisco to record them.

Pushed Out
Hello! Hello! Last time I checked, SMU was located in Dallas — spelled D-A-L-L-A-S — not Houston — spelled H-O-U-S-T- O-N ["Getting Schooled," by Matt Pulle, July 2]. Bush has been out of office for more than five months, and your liberal rag just can’t stop the bashing. This time it is about a library in D-A-L-L-A-S. Don’t you have some sister liberal rag up I-45 that can do the Bush bashing for the D-A-L-L-A-S area? I don’t recall any articles from your paper when the combination Clinton Presidential Library/Massage Parlor was being built somewhere in Arkansas. Our motto: “Happy Finish, Guaranteed.” Please leave the D-A-L-L-A-S Bush bashing to your sister paper.

Dallas Massage Parlors: Why the July 4th Tax Day Tea Parties are full of hot July air.

Obviously the far right has not learned their lesson – that they are not going to lie their way into political power. Just about every word in the above paragraph is an out and out lie and perhaps they think they can appeal to some people who don’t know the difference but not enough to win an election.
I was totally opposed to the GM bailout and said so back in November and was opposed to the AIG bailout as well but using words like ”seizing control of key banks insurance companies, the automobile industry etc” sounds like the kind of dumb pamphlet printed on cheap paper with the ink smudging, that used get handed out on the streets of New York in the 1960’s by a guy handing out flyers for massage parlors at the same time.

Dallas Massage Parlors: NBA Draft Talk – OKC Thunder Need Blake Griffin…

Although this year’s NBA Draft won’t be as exciting – or as painful – to watch for KU fans as last year’s draft when everybody but the laundry guy was drafted off a Championship team, for Big 12 fans there is plenty excitement again as for the third draft in a row, a Big 12 stud will be drafted in the top 2 picks, this year being the ManBeast, Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin.
The last two years have seen Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley both go #2, and while I furiously campaigned at local gyms and massage parlors, err, barber shops, both times that each should go number 1, each time it fell on deaf ears because nobody outside of Big 12 Country cares about the Big 12….
That said, Durant has more than justified why he should have gone to Portland and KU alum Kevin Pritchard is still wondering how he ended up with a 50-year-old man disguised as a 7-footer who calls himself Gre …

AUSTIN – There was a time when neighborhoods in northwest Dallas were besieged by massage parlors, bathhouses and rogue bars that served as fronts for prostitution and even the trafficking and exploitation of minors.
Things were so wide open that even the headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America had clear views of the businesses that promoted relaxation, massages, sensual body baths and much more.
