CHARGES AGAINST ROBERTSON: Former four-time NBA All-Star Alvin Robertson is facing charges of sexual assault of a child and sex trafficking; authorities said he and six others kidnapped a 14-year-old girl, forcing her into prostitution and dancing at a strip club. He was also sentenced in 2002 to three years in prison for violating probation in regards to a rape accusation.

Cops Critical of ‘Law and Order’ Immigration Policies
In Arizona and Texas, policies popular with the anti-immigration wing of the GOP are running into sharp criticism from a group of experts who know a thing or two about law and order: cops.
Russell Pearce, the head Republican restrictionist in the Arizona Senate is pimping bills to allow everyone to sue public officials who don’t report immigrants suspected of being in the country illegally to federal authorities.
According to the Arizona Capitol Times, the Arizona Association of Chiefs of Police aren’t too happy:
John Thomas, a lobbyist for the Association of Chiefs of Police, said rural communities would be harmed disproportionately if residents are allowed to file lawsuits against cities or counties that do not enforce of federal immigration law. Many of those communities are small and do not have the ability to defend the suits, much less pay court costs and hefty fines if they lose. They may not have an attorney,” he said. “They barely have (enough) police.” He suggested changing the bill to allow such suits to only be filed by county attorneys or the attorney general.
When passengers complained they’d had no food or water, some food was carried off the plane. Each passenger received a sandwich, and a small bottle of water to share among four people.
“They wouldn’t let us get to our luggage, so there were little kids walking around with T-shirts as diapers,” Howe said.

Styles and “Dick” Flair. “It’s okay, because Ric is a dick.” He told Flair, “You will never ever be the charismatic, pimptacular, hand-clappin’, foot-tapin’, pimp-slappin’, blingin’ attire, always on fire Pope that is D’Angelo Dinero!” He said at Lockdown he will enter into the cage as a challenger, but be declared by his world, “by his congregation,” the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. For the most part, he`s right about that, of course. It has been a long time since the average hardworking American has been represented in Washington, D.C. By and large, the politicians in DC represent only Big Money interests. Just try talking with your congressman or senator and see how much personal interest he or she takes in anything you have to say. As for emails, letters, and faxes, unless they number in the tens of thousands, they are mostly used as kindling for the fireplace.

Arlington police unveiled a new effort this week to bust online hookers, but department officials said it was unrelated to the All-Star game. The city’s Special Events Enforcement Team will also be monitoring sexually oriented businesses to ensure they are operating legally and not violating “no touch” restrictions.
A trade association for adult nightclubs estimates the number of dancers in the Dallas area could increase by as much as a quarter to handle the extra business. Figures are tougher to come by when the business is illegal. Experts however say that estimates circulating on the Internet projecting as many as 100,000 prostitutes traveling to North Texas for next year’s Super Bowl seems to much too high.
