Dallas Strip Clubs: Twin Peak will open in Southlake

Muller said the city would inspect the business several times a year to ensure waitress are properly clothed and are not violating the ordinance.
Judi Sherrill stopped dead in her tracks after hearing the restaurant would be moving into town.
Sherrill said few residents would support the sports bar, and she hopes that means it’ll struggle financially.
“I don’t think it needs to be in Southlake,” she said. “I don’t think it needs to be in Dallas. I don’t think it needs to be in any area. It doesn’t need to be here.”
However, not everyone was against Southlake newest restaurant.
Teenager Damien Jacot said Twin Peaks would be a big draw in the city, and he doesn’t see what the big fuss is all about.
“They’re not taking clothes off,” he said. “They go into work with everything covered that needs to be. It’s just food. It’s not a gentlemen’s club.”

Dallas Adult Entertainment: Dallas PD Would Like To Show You “Operation Triangle”

Emphasis has also been placed on beat policing, targeting the “hot spots” and working closely with community crime watch groups.  This week marks the first month of the three month operation and based on current crime statistics, there shows to be a decrease in both property and violent crimes, as well as an increase in public disorder arrests.
Although the department was already showing a decrease in overall crime throughout the city, the goal of Operation Triangle was to continue that decrease over the summer months when there is often a spike in crime. Below is a brief breakdown of current crime statistics:
Violent Crimes went from -2.73% at start of operation to -4.88% today
Property Crimes went from -3.57% at start of operation to -5.33% today
47 more public disorder arrests compared to same time last year
There will be an opportunity tomorrow, July 15, 2010, at noon, for the media to observe the Vice Unit conduct a prostitution decoy operation. These operations are being conducted to further combat the public disorder during the summer months.

Dallas Adult Entertainment: DPD Says Operation Triangle’s a Hit!

Last month, as you and no doubt Andrea recall, the Dallas Police Department launched its summer-safety initiative: Operation Triangle, so named for its three main goals: reducing property crime, violent crime and public disorder. And, yes, while those are good year-round goals, DPD says there’s a “spike” in such activities in the summertime when the weather is high and you got women on your mind and you have a drink and a drive and go out and see what you can find. Wait. Anyway.
Senior Corporal Kevin Janse sends the first round of stats, as well as an invite:

Dallas Adult Entertainment: Frisco Wild Side Restored

Then the row houses of the1906 Old Langton Fronts prominently displays a “perfect combination of preservation,” is the real estate agent’s description of the Fronts. Award winning architect Donald McDonald preserved the 1906 façade rebuilding everything behind in 1992. The mural came three years later in 1995 making a resplendent statement for a tourist destination for a changing SOMA.
Finally, when you reach Folsom Street you will find a withering Julie’s Supper Club sign which was a notorious lounge, restaurant, night club and brothel. The street talk says this is where Patty Hearst was held by the Symbionese Liberation Army when they robbed Hibernia Bank on Market Street. With rumors of Black Panther founder, Huey Newton, hiding out there, on “the lam”, the building is world famous. Today, the building has been transformed with the advent of the newly opened restaurant French-style locavore restaurant, Radius, that is serving as a beacon for the alley corner.

Dallas Adult Entertainment: ‘Dallas’ oil baron now solar energy pimp

Larry Hagman, who slicked himself up as exactly that in the hit TV soap opera Dallas — Wikipedia tells me it was a hit; it was before my time — has now reprised his role as the famous oilman in a commercial for the German photovoltaic manufacturer, SolarWorld.
It was apparently the BP oil disaster that spurred this actor and solar advocate to produce the TV spot. However, in return for doing the ad, SolarWorld agreed to donate panels to support work in Haiti done by the Solar Electric Light Fund. Hagman serves on the board of this nonprofit.
Still, the way he cackles at the solar panels in the commercial makes me wish he were actually starring in a television show about a solar energy baron striking it rich after finding sun spilling all over his property. Or maybe he could go the reality-TV route and call it “Real Solar Pimps of Texas.” What do you think?

Dallas Escorts: Riding With the Vice Squad As "Operation Triangle" Nets John With Infant Child …

The Dallas Police Department is deep into its highly publicized summer anti-crime initiative, Operation Triangle, in which they’re targeting property crime, violent crime and public disorder. Prostitution falls into the latter category. DPD spokesman Senior Corporal Kevin Janse says that prostitution is often the glue that holds many different crimes together. “You can make a direct link between violent crime and property crime and prostitution. It’s all a big circle.”
