Dallas Escorts: Angry Christians slam BBC

HUNDREDS OF angry Christians have blasted the BBC over the storyline in long-running soap, Eastenders, which sees Pentecostal preacher Lucas Johnson turn into a crazed killer.
Viewers have complained that the plot is offensive to their faith, with others questioning whether the channel would air a similar storyline with a Muslim cleric.
They story has seen devout Lucas fail to help dying ex-wife Trina, strangle love rival Owen to death and most recently, murder his wife, Denise after confessing all transgressions to her.
A BBC spokesman has called the plot challenging but said: Theres no suggestion Lucas behaviour is connected to those of the Christian faith.
Soap chiefs had originally planned for him to kill a girl, but rewrote scripts last month after the real-life Bradford prostitute murders. They have defended the rest of the storyline.

Dallas Strip Clubs: The Cowboys’ Tony Romo Takes A Potty Break

Maybe so. But there wasn’t a rule to cover exactly what will happen if it does happen (as we saw when Tennessee tryout punter A.J. Trapasso hit it in a preseason game – ostensibly on purpose).
Now there is: The NFL has addressed the rules for when a ball strikes a hanging videoboard, skycam or wiring. (Amazing, isn’t it, that until Cowboys Stadium came along, the NFL lacked the foresight for such rules?) NFL rules now state that the play will be whistled dead and the down will be replayed, with the clock being reset to when the play started.
This year, Cowboys Stadium can be more about football – and, oh yes, about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ Naughty Cousins up there high above the field gyrating around their Miller Lite Stripper Poles.

Dallas Escorts: Enders’ Lucas plot upsets viewers

An EastEnders storyline portraying preacher Lucas Johnson as a twisted killer has sparked complaints that it is offensive to the Christian faith.
More than a hundred complaints have been received about the plotline, which has seen the Bible-spouting man of the cloth fail to help dying ex-wife Trina, strangle love rival Owen and attack new wife Denise.
But a spokeswoman for the soap said: “Although Lucas has always claimed to be a man of strict Christian beliefs, regular viewers will be aware that he doesn’t practise what he preaches. This week’s challenging episodes are the climax to this storyline and there is no suggestion that Lucas’ behaviour is connected to, or representative of, those of the Christian faith.”
Last month, the storyline was to see Lucas strangle a prostitute. But soap bosses rewrote the scenes after the real-life murders of sex workers in Bradford.

The majority of Albert Square may have thought he was squeaky clean, but “holy” man Lucas Johnson has certainly stirred up some powerful feelings in viewers.
Fans have seen him fail to save ex-wife Trina from death by gardening tool, strangle love rival Owen, and viciously attack new wife Denise. He has seemingly done away with a dog too.
There were also plans for him to strangle a prostitute, but soap bosses rewrote the storyline after the real-life murders of sex workers in Bradford.
Angry Christians have now complained to the Beeb about the plotline, which has seen Bible-quoting Lucas, played by Don Gilet, become a twisted killer.
But the BBC has defended the storyline, saying in a statement: “Lucas is certainly not intended to be representative of Christians. He is a very damaged and dangerous individual who has created a twisted version of the Christian ‘faith’ in his mind to hide behind and to convince himself that his actions are acceptable. As the story unfolds, we will see other characters questioning Lucas’ claim to be a Christian.
