Dallas Adult Entertainment: BBC faces fury over EastEnders’ preacher of death

ANGRY Christians have blasted EastEnders over a storyline that has turned preacher Lucas Johnson into a Bible-obsessed killer.
Hundreds of viewers have complained that the plot is offensive to their faith.
The story has seen devout Lucas fail to help dying ex-wife Trina and strangle love rival Owen to death.
Last week he attacked his new wife Denise. The furore is set to rise in the coming week as the Pentecostal pastor, played by Don Gilet, becomes increasingly unhinged.
Dangerous
Yesterday, the BBC soap’s spokesman called the plot “challenging” but said: “There’s no suggestion Lucas’ behaviour is connected to those of the Christian faith.”
Soap chiefs had planned for him to kill a call girl, but rewrote scripts last month after the real-life Bradford prostitute murders.
But they have defended the rest of the storyline. The BBC said on its website: “Lucas is a very damaged and dangerous individual who has created a twisted version of the Christian ‘faith’ in his mind.”

religion of bacon says:
Are you saying that all prostitutes are victims? If so, then are (for example) crack dealers “who believe they have no other option” also victims who should not be prosecuted? Obviously ROB, not ALL prostitues (i.e. high-priced escorts/masseuses etc.) are victims/crack-hoes. I don’t this article or the program that it describes are targeting that segment. And it’s pretty easy to distinguish between the two. What disgusts me is that there are actually men who are desperate enough to patronize these sad and pitiful wo …

Dallas Strip Clubs: Cuban wants NBA to probe Heat’s signings

The credibility of this league has gone down the toilet. The Cavs didn’t need better support players to keep LJ. They needed a better nightlife in Cleveland to compete with South Beach. Upgrade those strip clubs if you want to attract free agents. If LJ is the best, the other players should have been coming to him, not the other way around. He took their millions straight out of high school without any intent of staying there. Sure the burden of winning was on his shoulders. It comes with the territory. Cuban is only saying what other owners are thinking: We have lost control over our franchises. For those who say why would the Cavs want him back if he tanked, it’s simple. His leaving probably dropped the value of the franchise by several hundred million. Few stars have ever left during their prime. Jabbar and Shaq both went to LA for the glamour and commercial opportunities. Guess not much as changed since South Beach is the eastern version of Hollywood.
