Dallas Strip Clubs: Will Vince Young ever grow up?

So how does the
quarterback repay that show of support? By embarrassing his 87-year-old
benefactor with a citation for misdemeanor assault early Sunday morning
at a Dallas strip club.
Young will have his day
in court to explain why he punched another man in the face during a
skirmish caught on security video. Young, though, is already guilty of
horrific judgment and the same kind of immaturity that landed him on
the bench in the first place.
Going to someplace like
Club Onyx Dallas the self-proclaimed largest urban gentlemens club
in the south offering private parties for the average Joe or the
hottest ball player in the game isnt a crime in and of itself. But
of all people, a former teammate of Adam “Pacman” Jones should know
this isnt the kind of place someone with such a high profile should be
patronizing. Trouble can be found inside these types of establishments
even if youre not looking for it.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Rising From an Identity Crisis, A Musical Collective: The Dallas Family Band

That sentiment is laughable to most, in and out of Dallas. Assuredly, the majority of Dallasites are satisfied with our more accessible identity: a modern metropolis with boutique, salon, gym, gourmet food, and bottle service, a capitalistic success North of I-30, always achieving new levels of comfort and luxury. Essentially, the majority seems content to leave off history altogether. It may very well be presumptuous of me to think that Big D’s musical talent struggles at all with, or even needs, some kind of historical, culturally-rooted identity. For a particular group of Dallas musicians and singers, however, the discontent was indisputable, because in the last three years it has led them to cooperate, create, and perform in new ways.
Creativity has always been pushed to the margins: garages, strip clubs, the closets and corners of modernity. When I moved back to Dallas in 2007, it was at a point when the live music scene was at its most recent nadir. The club circuit of live music seemed outdated and unten …

Dallas Strip Clubs: Ross Tucker>INSIDE THE NFL

The news that Young was issued a Class C Citation for an assault that occurred at a Dallas strip club at 3:30 a.m. Sunday had to be infuriating for everyone emotionally invested in the Titans, from owner Bud Adams to the fans in Nashville. This is the latest proof Young simply doesn’t get it.
Will he ever get it? What is the Titans’ game plan at the most important position on the team? Let’s explore:

It’s called being a professional. Clearly, Young isn’t one and may never be one. Mistake number one for a starting quarterback is going to a strip club in the first place. Being there at 3:30 a.m. wasn’t real smart either. But that ill-advised decision wouldn’t have been a problem if Young hadn’t physically gone after somebody in an incident that was caught on tape and allegedly instigated by a hand gesture.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Vince Young Needs To Be Suspended

Stay consistent Roger Goodell.
You have to suspend Vince Young.
In this era of zero tolerance for off-field issues and a personal conduct policy that is meant to keep players from disgracing the NFL shield, you have to stay consistent and suspend Vince Young.
You opened Pandora’s box, Mr. Goodell, when you suspended Ben Roethlisberger for merely being accused of a crime.  There is video evidence of Vince Young fighting in the bathroom of a strip club.
True, the actions Ben was accused of are worse than Young’s actions, but the Titan received a citation, and there is video proof of Young’s actions all over the Internet.
If that’s not an embarrassment for the league, then nothing is.  Roethlisberger, as of now, has just been wrongly accused twice.
I applaud you, Mr. Goodell, for not wanting the NFL to become a “thug” league and for taking steps to keep players in line.  However, there has to be consistency when applying these penalties.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Young’s strip club flub will cost him dearly — in trust

Not that I’m Stephen Hawking, I’m not even Stephen Baldwin. But I can figure out that when you’re on super duper football probation and the Titans are wondering if you are truly serious about being a professional, a temporary ban on strip clubs might be a good idea.
The only T & A the Tennessee quarterback should be pursuing is film study of Tampa and Atlanta.
Study film, not breasts — that should be Young’s motto for the next few months.
Young was caught on video fighting in a strip club. The only thing dumber than fighting in a strip club is stripping in a fight club.

The Dallas Morning News reported that until Young’s fight, the dance club hadn’t experienced any other type of complaints or enforcement action since it was purchased in 2008. So Young made history at a strip club.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Enough is Enough, Titans Need to Let Vince Young Go

Enough is Enough, Titans Need to Let Vince Young Go
by Rob Lunn on Jun 16, 2010 8:48:38 AM
Vince Young is now apologizing for an “incident” inside a Dallas strip club, the latest in a long line of awful and immature behavior from the Tennessee wunderkind.
Hey, Titans! Wake up, and let this liability go.
Young was a key component in a fight that broke out early Saturday morning. The cause of such a fight? Someone gave him the “horns down” sign, the ultimate dishonor to a former Texas star (yes, go ahead, put the tongue in cheek for that one).  If a million-dollar player and the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future will fight someone over the hook ‘em horns sign, then what happens should something truly serious provoke him? This is just another example of immature behavior off the field since being taken as the No.3 overall draft pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. I’m just plain surprised that head coach …

Dallas Strip Clubs: Martellus Bennett apologizes to Vince Young

Martellus Bennett apologizes to Vince Young
Posted by Michael David Smith on June 16, 2010 7:14 AM ET
On Tuesday we noted that Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett had ripped Titans quarterback Vince Young for punching someone at a strip club. Now Bennett has apologized.
“I would like to apologize,” Bennett wrote on Twitter. “I wasn’t trying to make the headlines or anything when I responded to a tweet asking what I thought about VYs Situation. Didn’t wanna draw anymore negative attn to it. And for that I’m sorry. I wasn’t tryna rip vince or anything I was jus saying.”
Still, Bennett did point out the obvious about Young: It wasn’t a particularly smart decision to get into a fight at a strip club.
“Didn’t think it was the rgt decision,” Bennett said. “Making several stupid ones myself I know how it is. I have nothing but love for the homie. Don’t regret what I said jus nvr wanna make anyone elses situation worse.”

Dallas Escorts: Helen Thomas: In Appreciation

Of course, James Taranto serves the Israel Lobby. The Wall Street Journal editorial page, not even a shadow of its former self, when it speaks, speaks for Israel and for the Bush/Cheney militarist police state.
The Wall Street Journal editorial page has fallen into the low ranks of Brownshirt propaganda. The fact that management tolerates the continuation of totally nonobjective  journalism shows why print newspapers are failing everywhere.
The hubris of Taranto, a mere propagandist who will never come close to the league in which Helen Thomas resides, causes him to think that he is fit to pass judgment on a real journalist. Taranto epitomizes the hubris of the neoconservatives. Not a single one of them has the smallest accomplishment. Yet, blinded with arrogance, they remain in ignorant bliss of their status as prostitutes.
