Titans’ Fans React to Vince Young’s Strip Club Confrontation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vince Young has apologized for the confrontation caught on tape at a Dallas strip club over the weekend, but some Titans’ fans may be slow to forgive.
Surveillance video from the club shows Young attacking an employee. Titans’ fans said there’s nothing wrong with defending an alma mater, but some question Young’s physical reaction which allegedly left Kinchen with a split lip.

Vince Young cited in strip club scuffle
Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was cited for misdemeanor assault for his involvement in an incident at a Dallas strip club early Sunday, according to multiple reports.
Young was not arrested but faces a potential fine of as much as $500, according to the reports.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Young was involved in a scuffle with an employee of the strip club in an office area around 3:30 a.m. The employee made a gesture that appeared to disparage the University of Texas, Young’s alma mater, according to the Morning News.
“There was a conversation going on between Mr. Young and several people inside the office,” Craig Miller, a Dallas police official, told the Morning News. “One of the [club employees] makes a gesture contradictory to the University of Texas, the ‘hook ‘em’ sign upside down. Vince Young has found his way directly to the top of the news headlines. Vince Young has been issued a Class C assault citation in Dallas from a fight he was in at a Dallas night club last night (Sunday, June 14th). According to local Dallas news sites, Vince Young was the “prime suspect” in a fight that left the other guy with “bodily injuries”.

Vince Young Fight [VIDEO]: Man Gets Beat Up For Disrespecting University of Texas
Vince Young, starting quarterback of the Tennessee Titans, has been issued a Class C citation for his involvement in an altercation at a strip club.

It’s official. Professional athletes just don’t get it. Tennessee Titan quarterback Vince Young picked up a misdemeanor assault charge for hitting a man in the mouth at a “gentleman’s club” in Dallas.  Punching someone in the face doesn’t seem very gentlemanly to us.
Apparently all of the drama involving celebrities and professional athletes at strip clubs is not enough to deter storied quarterbacks from risking it all in order to sneak a peek. We guess Young never thought that some guy trying to make a name for himself would show no love up in the club by starting something Young was forced to finish. Perhaps he should think again? In the immortal words of the late comedic genius Robin Harris, Young better wake up and apologize.

Needless to say, Vince Young began to make a name for himself once again as he seems to be back to Pro Bowl caliber form and the new starting quarterback moving forward. Unfortunately, despite winning eight of their last ten games, the Titans were unable to get back into the playoffs, but the future looks bright.

As for Vince, TMZ.com reports that he apparently called his own play at a Dallas Strip Club over the weekend. That play was a strong arm to a nose tackle, well, a nose of an opposing guy.
Vince,  apologized to his teammates and asked for God’s forgiveness. The site reports that Vince has stated, “I just made a mistake, I made a mistake even being there and I let that guy provoke me into doing what I did … I pray to God that Roger Goodell doesn’t come down hard on me, because I definitely want to be here for my teammates.”
Perhaps he should have prayed before going to the strip club. He might be looking at a legal lap dance in Dallas court.
This is Vince’s first strip club incident, there were no weapons involved, and no reports of any sexual hijinks (unlike a certain other NFL quarterback).

Young is unlikely to face NFL discipline for his part in this past weekend’s altercation at a Dallas strip club, ESPN’s John Clayton report.
Recommendation:
Young was on the airwaves Monday apologizing for his part in the incident, which saw him cited for misdemeanor assault. Dallas Police Department Lt. Andy Harvey said Young’s offense “is equivalent to receiving a traffic citation,” so while this is something that the Titans can’t be too happy about, it looks like their starting QB’s playing status won’t be affected when all is said and done.

Early Sunday morning (Jun 13), the NFL superstar got into an altercation at a strip club in Dallas, TX. The incident occurred shortly after Young was confronted by the manager of Club Onyx for complaining about paying a surcharge to withdraw his money out of a cash cage.
The manager, later identified as Creiton Kinchen, apparently flashed an upside down “Hook ‘em Horns” hand sign and shouted out “F** the Longhorns!” Well, Vince didn’t take the insults too kindly and ended up jumping on the guy, almost beating the living hell out of him!
