Lucas ended up having a lipstick named after her, although she said would have preferred the color to have been called ‘Courage’ as a way to symbolize “putting courage on.”
Lucas told participants she wrote her book, which was made into a 2009 Emmy-nominated television movie starring Sharah Chalke from “Scrubs,” to prove there is “life after diagnosis” and “to take on breast culture” in world that likes strip clubs and restaurants named “Hooters.”
