Dallas Adult Entertainment: Texas Organizing Project Is Newest ACORN Spinoff Group

An inside ACORN source has just confirmed this to me: the Texas chapter of ACORN has pretended to break off from the national group and has incorporated itself under the name Texas Organizing Project.
Remember: You read it here first.
The other five ACORN chapters that have dumped the ACORN brand are Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), Missourians Organizing for Reform Empowerment (MORE), New York Communities for Change, New England United for Justice (Massachusetts) and Arkansas Community Organizations.
ACORN Housing, which operates nationwide, changed its legal name to Affordable Housing Centers of America.
There is no word yet if ACORN Housing will continue to offer a drop-in legal clinic for pimps and prostitutes.

Dallas Strip Clubs: A Little Bondage, A Lot of Trouble

Opinion
A Little Bondage, A Lot of Trouble
April 7, 2010 – 1:54am
Last week the Grand Old Party found itself embroiled in yet another sexual imbroglio. Members of its national committee were revealed to have spent party dime on a debauched evening at a sex-themed nightclub, wining and dining top donors to the beat of stripper anthems and simulated girl-on-girl action. Voyeur, as the L.A. establishment fashions itself, is a “provocative” enclave where “exclusive clientele” can enjoy “risqué photography … with impromptu performances,” according to its website.
Who knew the Republicans had such a libido?
Well, everyone, I guess. GOPers, forced by their sexless public image to channel their natural energies in the most unnatural of ways, have had their fair share of bathroom stall and pageboy scandals. And their hottest product on the market — Sarah Palin — has a not-so-subtle carnal undercurrent to her down-home image (just picture that famously coy wink — oy!).

Dallas Strip Clubs: Watch: Erykah Badu’s ‘Window Seat’ gets the Wanda Sykes treatment

Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat” music video slash strip tease has been causing a stir in the debate on decency and artistry, but that doesn’t mean we can’t laugh about it. Ask Wanda Sykes.
The comedienne made her own version of the clip for “The Wanda Sykes Show,” redubbed “Middle Seat.” Just wait at least for the rhyming scheme for “pee.”
Badu’s video earned her a disorderly conduct charge after the clip caught on — which comes with a $500 fine — and at the very least, the discussion has people, perhaps, interested too in her new music. Her new album “New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)” came out last week.
Sykes may not have a new album, and she may not have had the opportunity to bare-all, but she did introduce the term “badus” as a non proper noun.
