Stripper Blog: Argyle & Pearls or Stilettos &… Law School?
Wildly Unreasonable Overachieving: A Sure Path to Disease, Social Isolation, and Significant Weight Gain Subtitle: Or, Why You Can’t Go Down Two Different Paths at Once
“Please don’t give me pig AIDS,” my roommates’ friend said from across our living room.
His and three other wide-eyed faces beheld the sight, sound, and flailing, futile white arms of choking, sputtering misery as I erupted into yet another uncontrollable coughing fit. I tried to cover my mouth as I trembled involuntarily from muscle exhaustion, and curled into the fetal position on the opposite couch.

After six or seven months as a stripper, I knew it was something I could continue to do, as long as I had some kind of academic stimulation in the periphery.

Nevada health board advances brothel owner’s attempt to offer state’s 1st male prostitutes
LAS VEGAS (AP) – The owner of a brothel more than two hours’ drive from Las Vegas said she hopes to hire Nevada’s first legal male prostitutes within a month, now that state health officials have approved a method to test men for infectious diseases.
The world is ready for women, or even other men, to legally buy sex, said Shady Lady Ranch owner Bobbi Davis. Plus, being the first to offer male service could boost business in tough economic times, she said.
…
Until now, men have been effectively barred from legally plying the world’s oldest profession in Nevada by the specificity of a state health law requiring prostitutes to undergo frequent cervical testing for sexually transmitted diseases.
The health board approved a regulation to allow urethral testing for men – a crucial rule change by the state agency with ultimate power over whether prostitutes can or can’t work.

Calling Gordie Howe, calling Gordie Howe. Fetisov, the former Soviet team captain and Detroit Red Wing, came out of an 11-year retirement to play for a professional team in Moscow, at age 51. The team, CSKA Moscow called on its team president after a player was injured. It was the top story of the day in Russia, and several cabinet members were in the crowd to witness Fetisov, who’s a member of the nation’s parliament, in action. The Continental Hockey League game ended in a 3-2 loss for Fetisov and CSKA Moscow. After the game, Fetisov, now the oldest person to have played a pro game in Russia, promptly re-retired. Howe, by the way, who played an NHL shift at age 69, is now 81.

The Houston Chronicle of September 2 published a letter from Ron Paul titled “Dear Defender of Liberty” in which, according to The Chron, Paul “writes glowingly about Republican gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina” but says, “This isn’t exactly a letter of endorsement.”
A quick search of the browser world turned up no actual Ron Paul endorsement of Debra Medina as of this date. (One site titled the same letter “Ron Paul Endorsing Debra Medina” but there’s no Ron Paul listed on the Debra Medina for Governor website Endorsements page.)
Few of the early opinionizers who posted their views in the “comment” box at the bottom of the Online News’ Medina article can be described as “writes glowingly.”
One thoughtful, intelligent reader named “True Believer” described Medina as a Whacko, nut job, and stupid because “Legalizing drugs is as stupid as legalizing prostitution or giving amnesty to illegal aliens. It is illegal.”

Yesterday we learned that Dallas Mavericks forward Tim Thomas is accused of hurling anti-gay epithets at a Garland man right here in the Voice’s backyard, at the Denny’s restaurant in the 4400 block of Central Expressway. At first we didn’t think too much of it. After all, Thursday was production day here at the Voice, and what are these people doing at Denny’s at 3 a.m. on a Wednesday anyway? Plus, wasn’t another Mavs player recently accused of using the new F-word? Perhaps, we thought, the Mavs players are just being taught to use this word when trash-talking their opponents in training camp. But today, we can’t ignore it anymore, because the gay plot seems to have thickened significantly. The Morning News has an update on the police investigation into the incident, and the story includes this little nugget: Victim Damien Pettie, while not gay, is a stripper at a gay club. Now in case you’re not familiar with our ‘hood, this Denny’s is almost directl …

Mama’s got a brand-new wig
Several men were starting their weekend early, relaxing in the dark confines of an upscale gentlemen’s club. Greeting them as they came and went on a recent Friday afternoon was Michael Precker, perhaps the only guy ever to graduate from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, work as a Middle Eastern correspondent, win an award from the Association for Women Journalists, and then work the door at a Dallas strip club.
Manager, chief bottle washer, and “writer in residence” have been his job titles at The Lodge for the past two years, ever since he walked away from daily journalism at The Dallas Morning News.
“I had never spent a nickel in a club like this,” Precker said. “I’m an old, boring, married person.”

Meanwhile, according to an article in Spiegel Online, prostitutes are preparing for globalists to descend on Copenhagen by offering free sex. The Mayor of Copenhagen attempted to limit the expected deluge of summit attendees enjoying the use of prostitutes by sending a letter to hotels across the city urging delegates and guests at the conference, “Be sustainable, don’t buy sex.” Prostitutes responded by offering free sex to any Copenhagen attendee who produces the Mayor’s letter.

The “climate crisis” has the appearance, says the writer, of “a long and silent war waged by the rich against the poor. And for that, regardless of what happens in Copenhagen, the poor will continue to demand their rightful reparations. ‘This is about the rich world taking responsibility for the damage done,’ says Ilana Solomon, policy analyst for ActionAid USA, one of the groups recently converted to the cause. ‘This money belongs to poor communities affected by climate change. It is their compensation.’”
Item: Global warming, according to a UN official quoted in a November 19 piece by GMA News in the Philippines, is forcing women into prostitution. “The effects of climate change have driven women in communities in coastal areas in poor countries like the Philippines into dangerous work, and sometimes even the flesh trade, a United Nations official said.” “Suneeta Mukherjee … of the United Nations Food Population Fund (UNFPA), said women in the Philippines are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in the count …

Hurst recalled testing the guns, playing on the Arizona’s baseball team, being just another sailor.
“I don’t have any great sea stories to tell, but I guess it did for me what needed to be done to me,” he said from Jacksonville, Fla. “I was just an old farm boy — hell, I had absolutely zero sophistication. All I knew was work.”
“I enjoyed it,” Stratton said from Colorado Springs, Colo. “After all was said and done … after I got squared away and made a few friends aboard, and the routine was settled down, everything was kind of kosher.”
Marshall Trimble, Arizona’s official historian, said scandal shattered the Arizona’s routine in 1924, when news broke that a prostitute named Madeline Blair had stowed away on the ship during a cruise, paying the ship’s cook for meals and doing business with sailors.
