Dallas Strip Clubs: Heir to Oswald boardinghouse shares its history

… I don’t believe the gun was here,” Hall said. “Back then, if you lived in the rooming house, you didn’t have the expectancy of privacy. People were in and out (of the rooms) all the time. Grandmother knew what was in these rooms. If there was a gun here, it was awfully well-hidden.”
Hall hopes to use donations to restore the room to appear as it did Nov. 22, 1963.
The bed and other original furnishings, she said, are stored at an undisclosed location.
Hall said that on that historic date 46 year ago, either the FBI or Dallas police searched Oswald’s belongings and left with the bedsheets, which upset her grandmother. Johnson, she said, had as many as 16 roomers living under her roof.
“She wanted those sheets,” Hall said, “not because who slept on them. She was very pragmatic. She could have used them.”
This month the gray fedora that strip club owner Jack Ruby wore when he fatally shot Oswald sold at a Dallas auction for $45,000.

Dallas Adult Entertainment: Report Details Sexism at DFR, But Dismisses Most Allegations

The report revealed that an internal investigation found who did it — a male employee who confessed. He was allowed to resign.
The male employee was upset that the woman had taken the office, which he had occupied previously, the report said.
The report also found:
A battalion chief called Siri’s co-worker “Siri’s little bitch.”
A DFR officer suggested a female employee lick copier ink from his finger. The officer said he did not intend the remark to be sexual.
A deputy chief offered to hug Siri in a meeting. She had alleged it happened multiple times.
Chief Eddie Burns sang a song outside Siri’s office based on a popular hip-hop tune called “It’s Hard Out There for a Pimp.” But the investigation found he may have changed the lyrics and did not actually use the word “pimp.”

Dallas Escorts: Doctor admired for efforts

… You work with getting their life under control,” Buchanan said. “It’s a Catch-22 for lots of folks if they can’t afford medicine and their case worsens and they lose their income and wind up on the streets. We try to reverse that.”
The sadness comes from seeing patients who cannot seem to help themselves.
“I think what’s frustrating and tragic is we deal with lots of people, especially in the STD (sexually transmitted diseases) and TB (tuberculosis) clinic who are down on their luck and have made choices in their lives that are unthinkable — for the most part prostitutes and drug addicts,” she said. “We see them come back in over and over with issues related to their lifestyles. People are stuck in that lifestyle. We get to know them on a very personal level.”

Dallas Strip Clubs: Secrets Of Kennedy Assassination Investigation Revealed By Discovery Channel

The nonfiction educational entertainment network will air two new specials pertaining to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the controversy surrounding the incident.
The specials “Did the Mob Kill JFK?” and “JFK: The Ruby Connection” will air back to back on the 46th anniversary of Kennedy’s death on November 22 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET/PT, respectively.
“Did the Mob Kill JFK?” follows the findings of an FBI special informant who received information from incarcerated New Orleans mafia don Carlos Marcello, who claimed to have arranged the assassination, referring to Kennedy as “a thorn in my shoe.”
A long-time suspect in the investigation, Marcello controlled criminal operations in Louisiana and Texas, tying into the Dallas locale where Kennedy was shot.
According to information from the informant, Marcello had connections with both accused Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and strip club owner Jack Ruby, who shot Oswald following his abduction.

Dallas Strip Clubs: A photographer’s story: Bob Jackson and the Kennedy Assassination

Jackson worked the Sunday shift in those days and was assigned to photograph the transport of Oswald from the Dallas City Jail to the County Jail. Despite the wishes of the city’s lead detective who wanted to make the transfer in private, the department caved to pressure from the media to move Oswald in front of the cameras.
That morning, Jackson had to fight his assignment desk editor that day who wanted to send him to a different assignment as the transfer of Oswald was more than an hour and a half late.
“I said, ‘You must be kidding,’” he said. “‘There’s no way we’re going to leave here. You know, there’s just no way.’”
Jackson says he knew who Ruby was from visits the nightclub owner had made to the paper to promote one of his strippers, but he didn’t see him in the basement before the shooting. Further, he says, despite everyone continuing to ask him whether there was a conspiracy behind the assassination, he responds simply.

Dallas Adult Entertainment: Sarah Palin to visit Roswell Dec. 1

BernieG Regards the death race to the lowest common denominator bottom of the barrel in terms of content: the number of Americans watching TV has been steadily dropping due to audience fragmentation, for instance as of last quarter 2.5 million fewer people were watching ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox then in the previous year. As a result the networks have been desperately scrambling to come up with any way to hold onto an audience, more importantly onto the advertising revenue that sustains their companies. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALe…
“The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason.” Hunter S. Thompson, bylined column in the San Francisco Examiner, November 4, 1985.
