Dallas Strip Clubs: Keeping abreast with Newt’s Nook

Keeping abreast with Newt’s Nook
We’re proud to unofficially unveil the sign that will welcome visitors to “Newt’s Nook — A Home for Pitbulls.”
Now under construction in Celina, Texas, the shelter was made possible by a $5,000-plus donation from a Dallas strip club owner — the amount being a refund of what she paid to attend a dinner to receive an “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Newt Gingrich’s organization, American Solutions for Winning the Future.
American Solutions, as we told you yesterday, mistakenly bestowed the honor on Dawn Rizos, the owner of The Lodge, a popular Dallas strip club.
When former Speaker of the House Gingrich, a week before the awards ceremony, univited Rizos, he agreed to refund the $5,000 that she, as instructed, had submitted in exchange for the privilege of eating dinner with him. He refunded her airfare as well.

Dallas Strip Clubs: PORNOGRAPHIC CHRISTMAS CARDS

GINGRICH-STRIP CLUB AWARD
DALLAS (AP) – Dallas strip club owner Dawn Rizos is putting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in the dog house. Rizos was set to receive an “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, from the group American Solutions for Winning the Future, led by Gingrich. But her honor was pulled, after it became known that she was the owner of a topless club. The group said it had mistaken her business for another. Rizos’ $5,000 fee was also refunded. So she’s donating the money to a shelter for pit bulls under construction near Dallas. Rizos says she’ll invite Gingrich to the dedication of “Newt’s Nook – A Home for Pit Bulls” next month.

STATE LAWYER-STRIPPER COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – A deputy assistant attorney general in South Carolina says he always has sex toys — just in case. Police in Columbia report that’s what Roland Corning told them. A police officer spotted the 66-year-old official and an 18-year-old stripper in a …

Dallas Strip Clubs: Of Newt Gingrich, strip clubs and pit bulls

Of Newt Gingrich, strip clubs and pit bulls
What do they have in common? I’ll leave that up to you to decide. But here’s a hilarious story, with a happy ending, that involves all three.
It all began in September when Dallas businesswoman Dawn Rizos learned she was to receive an  “Entrepreneur of the Year” award  from American Solutions for Winning the Future, a conservative group led by Newt Gingrich, the former U.S. House speaker.
Rizos didn’t think it all that odd that the organization would be honoring her business, legally known as DCG, Inc., but doing business as The Lodge, one of the finest strip clubs (I’m told) in all of Dallas.
American Solutions — designed to “rise above traditional gridlocked partisanship to provide real, significant solutions to the most important issues facing our country” — was one of the big pushers of that national tea party, and it serves as the political arm of Gingrich’s empire as author, pundit and consultant .

Dallas Strip Clubs: Garland teen held in murder of friend after argument in Dallas

A 17-year-old man faces a murder charge in the fatal shooting of his friend at the friend’s far northeast Dallas apartment Sunday evening.
Debrion Jackson of Garland (right) was booked into the Dallas County jail Tuesday afternoon. He is being held on $150,375 bail on the murder charge as well as an unrelated theft charge.
Dallas police say Jackson shot 24-year-old Dwayne Blair at Blair’s apartment at 13030 Audelia Road after the two friends got into an argument. A police report did not say what the argument may have been about, but said it started the previous evening at Club Onyx, a northwest Dallas strip club.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Strip Club Owner Snubbed By Gingrich Names Pit Bull Shelter After Him

Last month we told you about Dawn Rizos, the owner of a popular Dallas strip club who was going to be honored with an “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Newt Gingrich’s conservative group. Rizos planned to attend a private dinner in D.C. and made a $5,000 donation to Gingrich’s group, American Solutions for Winning the Future, before the invitation was rescinded and the donation returned — presumably because Gingrich’s group realized they were about to honor a strip club owner.
Now Rizos is striking back. She’s taking the $5,000 she tried to donate to Gingrich and building a shelter for unwanted pit bulls at an animal shelter outside of Dallas.
In a statement, Rizos said, “At first our feelings were hurt. But then we figured at least we could make something positive out of his bad manners.”

Dallas Adult Entertainment: Crackdown against drug cartel yields 300 U.S. arrests in 2 days

… We are fighting an organization whose brutal violence is driven by so-called divine justice,” Leonhart said. “Accordingly, La Familia’s narco-banner declared that they don’t kill for money and they don’t kill innocent people. However, their delivery of that message was accompanied by five severed heads rolled onto a dance floor in Uruapan, Mexico.”
(EDITORS: STORY CAN END HERE)
The indictments unsealed Thursday provided a rare look inside a highly disciplined and secretive organization that uses violence to support its narcotics trafficking business _ including numerous murders, kidnappings and assaults, federal authorities said. It also has diversified into counterfeiting, extortion, prostitution and armed robbery. Most of those arrested in the United States were believed to be foot-soldiers or associates of the organization, but some of them had direct ties back to La Familia leadership in Michoacan, authorities said.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Ponder This: Should Insider Trading Be a Crime?

The egalitarian belief behind insider trading prosecutions is that everybody should have exactly the same information, even the folks who haven’t worked a day in their lives to gather that knowledge themselves.
So we encourage CEOs to be shareholders yet make it a criminal act for them to trade based on their own hard-earned experience. Instead, they’re expected to trade their millions of shares only after Joe Six-Pack has been fully briefed, despite the fact that he’s not even a current shareholder of the firm.
Imagine if you knew a brothel or gentleman’s club was going to be built next to your home, perhaps thanks to a local contractor or maintenance man hired to install the stripper poles. If insider trading laws were applied to the real estate market, you would not be permitted to sell your home until news about the bordello had been plastered across the front page of the local paper. Would that be fair?

Dallas Escorts: Has Cowboys Stadium Made The Double JA Cheapskate?

That turnaround could be explained by Jerry taking a smarter approach to roster building – through the draft and through lower tier free agency – that also has the added benefit of being cost-efficient. Call it the anti-Redskins approach. Obviously, spending liberally and spending intelligently aren’t the same thing. Then again…
Jones certainly spared no expense in the construction of Dallas Cowboys Stadium, but he’s been finding ways to save money in some areas. For instance, the Cowboys were one of nine franchises that pulled out of an NFL pension plan that covers all team employees. The NFL owners voted to make the 401k and supplemental retirement program no longer mandatory, and Jones promptly jumped out of it.
Now THAT I find rather appalling, given the enormous costs Jones happily sunk into providing Cowboys Stadium with an underground shark tank, nuclear-powered concession stand kegerators, and premium Hungarian escort services. You can’t do all that and then turn around and stiff employees out of a small modicum of post-retirement prosperity.

Dallas Strip Clubs: Stars-Gazing: My Top 10 Hockey Observations

7. So Boston has this mammoth player. Towering over people. Relatively speaking he looks like Gheorge Muresan. Turns out Bruins’ defenseman Zdeno Chara is 6-foot-9. Impressive.
6. As if the Stars’ Ice Girls weren’t head-turning enough, have you seen these dancers up behind each goal? They wear leg warmers, which is cool. But they also wear what amounts to nothing more than bras and those boy-short panties, which is hot.
5. On this particular night the AAC was deader than Zombieland. The bench wasn’t buzzing, coach Marc Crawford mostly stood in stunned silence (except for a tongue-lashing of Tom Wandell) and the biggest crowd uproar was for the Texas fight song, the always uncomfortable-yet-entertaining Kiss Cam and the ridiculously drunk stripper on the glass who kept sloshing beer and shouting “Let’sssss Gowww Mav-eee-wrecks!”
