I remember growing up in football – crazy Dallas and hearing the stories in the late 1970s and early 1980s of the young, famous, black bachelor, high draft choices losing all their bonus money and then some investing in drilling for oil.
These 22 year old’s with minimum education or business experience blew wads of cash getting suckered by flashy, gold chain – wearing hustlers, who the previous week were selling used cars, saying “invest with me.”
This all went on up and down the infamous North Dallas Greenville Avenue strip at the nearby Playboy Club, which was housed in the very building of the Cowboys headquarters and Brio and Etc. -clubs owned by investor Bruce Kahn, (no relation to Amir) who is now in Federal Court trying to buy the infamous Chicken Ranch brothel outside of Las Vegas.

Dallas Massage Parlors: Why the July 4th Tax Day Tea Parties are full of hot July air.

Obviously the far right has not learned their lesson – that they are not going to lie their way into political power. Just about every word in the above paragraph is an out and out lie and perhaps they think they can appeal to some people who don’t know the difference but not enough to win an election.
I was totally opposed to the GM bailout and said so back in November and was opposed to the AIG bailout as well but using words like ”seizing control of key banks insurance companies, the automobile industry etc” sounds like the kind of dumb pamphlet printed on cheap paper with the ink smudging, that used get handed out on the streets of New York in the 1960’s by a guy handing out flyers for massage parlors at the same time.
