Dallas Escorts: Sabbatini joins rare Texas air after Nelson victory

15. Stat of the week: Through five holes in Saturday’s third round at the Corning Classic, Eunjung Yi was 6-under-par, thanks to eagles on the par-4 opening hole and the par-5 second and fifth with a pair of pars sprinkled in. While it’s hardly shocking that Yi couldn’t keep up that pace — that would equate to a score of, ahem, 21-under 51 for the round — it should be considered a disappointment that she finished with just one birdie and four bogeys, playing her final 13 holes in 3-over-par for a benign total of 69.
16. Big hullaballoo on the Internet this past week surrounding this Time.com feature, in which the company Play Golf Designs is suggested to be “some kind of golf-escort service.” Not even close, says founder Nisha Sadekar, who was incensed by the piece. Instead, PGD offers golfers a chance to interact with top-level LPGA and Futures Tour professionals on the course; there’s nothing untoward about it by any means.

Dallas Escorts: Feds bust alleged money laundering scheme

PLANO, TX — A federal grand jury has indicted 16 North Texans on money laundering charges relating to a car dealership.
U.S. Attorney John M. Bales of the Eastern District of Texas says the dealership’s owner is among those indicted Thursday.
Bales says 54-year-old Richard Alan Arledge of McKinney allegedly used his Suzuki car dealership and financing company to allow drug dealers and those who promote prostitution to buy luxury automobiles with illegal income.
The government also says that in some instances the vehicle’s title was placed in the names of third parties to conceal the source of payment and true ownership.
Arledge denied the allegations Friday. He says he’s an honest businessman.

Dallas Escorts: The South(side) Rises Again

So he spends his days supervising the stripping of old wooden window frames and the buffing of hardwood floors, creating loft apartments in a 1911 warehouse with 16-foot-high ceilings and concrete walls and floors. And getting the washing machines fixed. And, in the process, helping rejuvenate a neighborhood that has been dormant for decades.
Around the corner from Vanston’s Sawyer and Joyslin buildings (Vanston swears the latter, like seemingly half the historic buildings in Fort Worth, was at one time a brothel) is a vacant building that shows how tricky the historic renovation business can be. The city built the Fort Worth Recreation Center in 1927 as a gymnasium and auditorium. After the city sold it in 1955, the building, which looks like an old airplane hangar, was converted into a factory and warehouse. An automotive parts distributor was the last to use it, moving out in the late ’90s.

Dallas Escorts: ‘Hawthorne’ and ‘Nurse Jackie’ give a different view of nursing

… When Edie attached herself to a nurse project, that hit Hollywood like wildfire,” said Liz Brixius, 45, who rewrote a surreal, partially animated pilot script with partner Linda Wallem into the grittier, blue-collar comedy that became Nurse Jackie. “Jackie has her own code . . . and gets the job done. If Dirty Harry were a nurse in her 40s, he’d be Jackie Peyton.”
She’s definitely not Florence Nightingale
There’s a lot about Nurse Jackie that nurses like Summers might not admire.
Addicted to painkillers, Falco’s Peyton is sleeping with the hospital’s pharmacist. She also practices a form of frontier justice in the ER, forging a young man’s signature on an organ donor card after his death and flushing the severed ear of a man who brutally assaults prostitutes down the toilet.

Dallas Escorts: Art Set in Concrete: the Desolate Urban Landscapes of High Culture

Yet the clichés of political correctitude have even encroached on atavistic Texas: of course the opera house “is designed to be the environmentally conscious, state-of-the-art standard against which future opera houses will be measured”—a prospect that will certainly let the big-haired ladies and their Stetson-topped men snooze more easily through Lohengrin after having driven in for the evening in their patriotic gas hogs, and flown in architects, materials, singers from all over the globe.
Similarly disingenuous is the claim that the green areas provided by Foster’s “Grand Portico will provide shade over three acres of the Performance Park creating new outdoor spaces for visitors and nearby residents to gather and relax.” Nearby residents? Forgive me, but I doubt any of the nearby bail bondsmen and prostitutes will be venturing across the ghastly perimeter of expressways to take in the useful things Mozart had to say about sex in or around Norman Foster’s red building. The lawns and tree-lined avenues of the pseudo-park-like campus of the Arts Center only augment the artificiality of the whole project. Dallas rolls out bright green turf as easily as a red carpet.

Dallas Escorts: Pimp who posed as modeling agent sentenced

Pimp who posed as modeling agent sentenced
ASSOCIATED PRESS
Friday, June 05, 2009
A Texan who posed as an agent for aspiring models has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for enticing women across state lines to work in prostitution, some of them in Atlanta.
Federal prosecutors said Thursday that 35-year-old Thelenious Reed of Mansfield, Texas, was arrested last year after transporting an 18-year-old woman from Pennsylvania to the Atlanta area, then telling her she would have to engage in prostitution to pay for photo shoots and travel expenses.
An FBI agent learned her story after investigating an advertisement in an erotic services section on Craigslist and arranging a “date.” The woman said she was paid $200 to $400 for sex acts and gave the money to Reed.

Dallas Escorts: Dallas police: Man got out of jail and went right back to pimping

Two months ago, I wrote about a man arrested for forcing his girlfriend into prostitution. He was booked into jail again this morning on the same charge involving the same woman. On March 19, a Dallas police vice squad officer arrested Gary Lenard Shaw, 28, (upper right) on a charge of compelling prostitution. Shaw left jail the very next day on $25,000 bail. The vice officer learned Shaw was pimping the woman out again, police say. Last night, the officer went to help her…
Last night, the officer went to arrest Shaw on an unrelated drug warrant and found him in an east Oak Cliff apartment. The officer found the woman in a back bedroom, hiding underneath a blanket with knots and bruises on her face and arms.
The woman told officers Shaw had forced her to begin prostituting again as soon as he got out of jail. Just hours before the officer arrived, she said, she’d threatened to leave and he had beaten her until she begged for mercy and promised to stay.
